Can you substatute a crock-pot for a fondue pot?

It is my mom鈥檚 birthday today, and me and my sister want to make her a surprise dinner, Fondue. But we do not have a fondue pot. can we just cook the fondue over the stove? Or in a crock pot? As long as we keep it warm...

Thanks a tonCan you substatute a crock-pot for a fondue pot?
Crock pot should work fine. You'll want it hot unless you're just doing chocolate or cheese for dips. In that case, put it on medium to keep it at a hot but not boiling hot temp.
Sure, it will take longer to warm up but it will hold a lot more than a fondue pot especially if you are having a lot of people over. Can you substatute a crock-pot for a fondue pot?
