How do you remove burnt caramel from a fondue pot?

i would put hot water in the pot, with maybe 3/4 of a cup of baking soda and heat the fondue pan. What you want is to get the water and baking soda mixture to boil gently for an hour or so. It depends on how your fondue pot works, how it is assembled---whether you should do that by putting the fondue pot in a larger pot on the stove, or just treat the fondue pot like you were making fondue. the baking soda and water works really well with burnt on carbon - and i think that is what you have. How do you remove burnt caramel from a fondue pot?

get some biological washing powder and rub it onHow do you remove burnt caramel from a fondue pot?
Try putting the pot in a pan with hot, really hot, water. The caramel might start to melt and come loose.
To remove burnt-on food from baking dishes/pans, place a dryer sheet in the bottom and fill with hot water. Wait about a 1/2 hour and it should wipe clean. May have to be repeated if really messy. Also check out www.burntfoodmuseum.com
acetone
Put the pot back on the burner but with some soapy water in it. The hot soap with brake down the carmel.

Use a chore-boy scouring pad on it, because they tend to scratch the least. Pour a little soft scrub on after that, let it sit for a while. With a little elbow greese, it should come off.

Good Luck!
