What can i use or do since i dont have a fondue pot?Can you make Cheese fondue without a fondue pot?
Certainly. Use a heavy-bottomed sauce pan. Keep warm over a candle or electric burner on LOW
Yes - you can. You will need a way to keep the cheese warm and smooth while you sit and enjoy it. As the other answer says, a candle underneath may do the trick. These are called "chafing dishes" See if you can borrow one from and older person. Can you make Cheese fondue without a fondue pot?
just make your cheese sauce in a small pot on the stove. I like to put one can of cream of mushroom soup in a pot and slowly melt the cheese into the soup. Just don't add any liquid to the soup and it will be thick enough.(you won't even taste the mushrooms!)
Hi penguins, You could out your fonue pot inside another larger pot with some hot water in it ( called a bains marie) just don't let the water boil over into your fondue. I hope this helps, all the best. Rab
