chocolate or cheeseDoes anyone use a fondue pot? If so what do you put in it?
I have for party's just chocolate dark to be more exact. Dip strawberry's
chocolate to dip fruits and other bojangles
bits of chocolate, you melt in then use the sticks to dip in strawberries or marshmellow. It's quite romantic
You need:
250ml thick cream
250g good quality dark chocolate, finely chopped
To serve
Fresh fruit 鈥?banana slices, strawberries, orange segments, kiwi fruit slices, pear slices
Pound cake, cut into 2cm chunks
Marshmallows
Method:
Place the chocolate and cream in a heavy saucepan over a gentle heat and stir with a wooden spoon until the chocolate has completely melted.
I usually do it on the stove first just to make it quicker, then I put it in the fondue pot and share!
Yes! Its been under the counter for 10 or so years now... I think there is a fruit cake from great granma in it!
There are three types of fondue
1-Hot Oil
2-Cheese
3-Chocolate
Hot oil is for use in doing meats and stuff on a skewer
Cheese is for dipping stuff like ham chunks, broccoli crowns etc.
Chocolate is a dessert fondue-cut up strawberries, marshmallows, pineapple, etc and have fun!
