Umm well I've used a double boiler... helped it not burn and stick. Is there anything else you can use for fondue besides a fondue pot?
you can use a good heavy non-stick sause pan.
yes a double boiler
PS I have a fondue pot the monster-in-law got me for xmas, if you want it let me knowIs there anything else you can use for fondue besides a fondue pot?
Of course - any pot you can keep hot.... the tulip shape of a fondue helps keep splatters inside and sits nicely over a heat source.... but any rig which can do the same is fine.... like a pot on a camp stove on low heat...
Utility pot for eggs poach. There are strainers to use
for chocolate melting. Use the different egg cup holes for
the fondue candles and make a double boiler over it.
Yes, you can use a wok. An electric wok works best. You can use chicken broth with sauterne wine in it and even give your fondue an oriental flair by using Asian sauces and serving sticky rice.
I use an electric Wok for meat %26amp; vegetable fondue another for cheese or chocolate if I am having a large group
