I would use a ceramic bowl and a warming tray.
Are you going to set a double boiler on your table? That would look terrible....(to me)presentation means alot...I'd go with your first answer...that would also look nice for your guests.I don't have a fondue pot - what else can I use?
You could use a ceramic casserole dish and a warming tray.
I think you should make a Welch Rarebit instead. Without wine and without a fondue pot we are getting pretty far from authenic. Here is a recipe from the incomparable Alton Brown. It does call for beer but you can use non-alcoholic beer with good results.I don't have a fondue pot - what else can I use?
I'd say go with the double boiler... but theres always the microwave also.
i would suggest using w/e bowl is micromave safe(or safe to w/e heat source youre using). i just did fondue a couple of dayz ago, but i couldnt find my new fondue pot-mom musta put it up in attic or somethin-so i just used a cereal bowl in the microwave. works just as fine! just use w/e bowl is safe 2 your heat source.
o, %26amp; if u dont have the fondue sticks, then u could always just use a fork! just w/e'll pick 'em up.
edit: btw, w/e you use, dont use anything w/ a gold trim. for some reason gold isnt microwave safe. i trust u are already aware of aluminum foil being the same way?
Double boiler
double boiler would be best.
