Is it unsafe to cook rice pudding in my non-stick fondue pot?

It would only be unsafe if you let the flame get out of control or if you can't get the temp high enough. But since you probably can't control the temp like an oven, I suggest you use an oven unless you're not making the type of rice pudding that I'm used to.
